.40 reloaders, how much per round?

What's it costing you guys nowadays to reload .40? I don't cast so I'm at about .20/rd. The bulk of that being the bullet (various xtreme, berrys, rainier, etc).

$120 bullets, $15 powder, $30 primers, free brass.... About $165/1000

I'm at about .16/rd right now, but I've done it for less.

Current prices I am at .19 per round. Before panic price was around .15 per round. But currently I payed $125 for 1k plated bullets $37 for 1k primers and $26 for powder (that's not including shipping, but I try and buy in bulk when possible). Pre panic prices for me were $90 per 1k bullets, $25 1k primers, just under $20 for powder.

But lots of labor, and electricity
Using my pre-panic supplies and recycling the lead.

To load moly coated 180s about .19 a round. Without brass 14.5 cents each.

My last batch with rainiers .16. Depending on how casting lead goes it will be between .07-.08.

Where are you guys getting such cheap bullets from? Are they plated or just lead?

I load my cast lead boolits and its around .03-.06 a round if I remember right just depending on the round. The only thing I buy is bullseye and primers . Powder 20 per lb and 25 per 1k for primers and my 9 mm is 4.2 gr .

Last time I didn't use my own cast, $0.11/round for moly. Now, it's $0.07/round with cast. If I put a little more effort into scrounging, it would be $0.04/round.

It's $0.03/primer @ $30/k
$0.01 for powder @ $120/8#

about 38-39 bullets per pound of lead so if you pay $1/pound, it's about 2.6 cents. Pay less, it costs less.

I don't consider my time because I consider this a hobby and not work. Casting is as relaxing as loading and shooting and I prefer not to work overtime in order to pay higher prices for shooting.

It really feels good to shoot 200 shots in a session knowing that it cost you less than $15 and that you have thousands more "pre-made" rounds at home.
