    Suggest me some reloading manuals

I just ordered a Lee Classic Turret press kit and I'm looking to get some reading done while I wait. I have a general understanding of the process of reloading but I want to be thorough. I'll be reloading 9mm and 45 ACP. What reloading manuals do you recommend?

I'm a complete NOOB when it comes to reloading. What are the benefits to having multiple manuals? Do you find yourself using multiple manuals often?

...forgive my questions. Like I said, I am a NOOB to reloading.

I suggest Lyman's and Lee 2nd Edition. Both have great "how-to" sections and the Lee book the most load data. Since you are already getting Lee equipment, you are immunized against the inherent sales pitch in the Lee book.

Multiple books because reloading is analog, not digital.

Check and see if your kit comes with the Lee 2nd edition. (Mine did, but that was a while ago)
I really like the Lee book. Like Bill said... Get a couple. They all have something useful

I have them from Sierra, Lyman, Hornady and Speer. If I use a makers bullets I like to check their reccomendations on charges for best performance. I shoot a lot of cast so I use the Lyman cast bullet manual a lot.

My kit didn't come with a book. It was put together by the seller as their own kit. I purchased the Lee Reloading Manual and plan on buying the Lyman next. Thanks for all the suggestions an help! Wish me luck.

You can also download quite a few manuals from the powder companies. I always check at least two manuals if I'm working on a new load.

Lee and Lyman if you want to learn about reloading, then the books from whichever bullet manufacturers your planning to use.

Lyman #49 then a few others . Reloading manuals are really enjoyable to read.

If you have the LEE Press then the LEE 2nd edition manual is good for learnign how to reload. I do like the Hornandy load manual for load data since it has Garand data and it describes the history of each cartridge which the LEE manual does not.

If you are new I definitely think you should get the ABC'S of reloading and read it cover to cover. It will be the best place to start IMO.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but you can't have too many. They are always updating and each one seems to have a little different load recipes then the others. I would suggest a min of three. I like the Lee, Lyman and hornady and or Speer.

ABC's is on Amazon (Kindle). Kindle for PC is a free reader software.
