Not Boxer primed. When imported stuff was dirt cheap there simply was no demand for x39 brass. Maybe that's going to change. Also, most rifles that use x39 are perfectly happy with steel cases.
My x39 rifles all sling the brass so dam far I'd probably lose most of it anyway.

I'm right there with you Tactical, I even have a WTB ad posted here and on several other boards looking for boxer 7.62x39 brass. I have 60 rounds of PMC brass but that's it. Hard to find stuff.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

GunBroker can shove it. I won't pay the asking prices. But thanks anyway. There's usually a lot or two on Gunbroker.
Edit; So can fellow members wanting $85 for 1+ times fired dirty range pickup brass. What a joke.Last edited by TacticalPlinker; 03-18-2013, 8:15 PM.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕComment

I'm still looking. I've been able to get a good amount of brass in other calibers, but 7.62 x 39mm is still hard to find. Not out of stock, I simply can't find vendors who sell it.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕComment

I have recently scored Prvi 7.55 Swiss and 8mm but none of the dealers had any 7.62x39 brass. I scored 60 rounds of brass PMC a few months ago, that's it.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

It's a no brainer for most folks, it's cheaper and less hassle in the short run to shoot the Russian/Surplus stuff than the American made brass cased 7.62X39mm.
Example:
500 rounds of Federal American Eagle (brass cased) for $401.08 (sold out)
Vs.
1000 rounds of Russian (steel cased) for $233.69 (sold out)

Interesting thread! I got some in Nov. off here. Somewhere around $45/120 pcs.
It's impossible to find and expensive when you do, no two ways abkut it.
I have a supply of cheap stuff for my stash, and keep the brass stuff for range use. I dont need a large stockpile of reloadable really, but it would be more convenient.Comment

Yeah, I know. HOWEVER...
I already have steel cased 7.62 x 39mm. BUT I cannot shoot it at the local indoor range and every single outdoor range bans magnetic ammo as well. Hence the reason I never get a chance to fire my AK.
I already have parts, dies, primers and powder to reloading this caliber and bullets are still available here & there. But I need brass.
I'm about ready to get rid of the damn thing because a gun that I can't shoot is pathetic and worthless.
