    Very interesting ideas! I've just been running the sharpie on the bottom. Quick and easy but not the best. My Saiga puts a nice dent in the 223 cases so it marks them for me!

      by the way, the easiest way to avoid this problem is to stop shooting semi automatics. No brass searching, and if a range tries to take the brass away from you that never hits the ground, well I can tell them where they can put MY brass!

        Agreed.. and if you shoot a moon clip revolver, you can pick up the spent brass all in one nice little package.. 6-8 pieces at a time.
