    Sac Gun Show

My local WalMart rep was telling me that if the Crossroads of the West gun show this weekend at CalExpo has ammunition, it will be at a huge mark up. I was hoping to buy 1k rounds of 9mm and 1k rounds of 38 special at bulk prices. I am not keen on the fact it will cost me $13 to get in, which doesn't include parking. So any thoughts on if it will be worth it to go?

If you are desperate for ammo than go. If you just want to pick some up at a good price but already have a few 1000 rounds, I would stay away.

Also get there early as you can and be ready to hurry up an wait
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

How big is the Sac show compared to the Cow Palace or even Vallejo?

Smaller than both the last time i went which was about a year ago, where I remember buying a couple thousand rounds of 7.62x39 for $199 per thousand!

I'd pay hazmat and shipping twice before I went to a gun show.

Don't expect any 38. Has been over a year since it was sold in bulk. I was told that none of the police are using it and not enough civilian call either so they all stopped carrying any bulk. That was RedLine and mind fart - cant remember the outer outfit at Vallejo.
Go anyway and I hope you find some.
Also, I heard that the last Reno show was sold out of ammo in the back parking lot before it could even get inside, before the doors opened.

I hope you've read about the zoo guns shows have turned into; you think you're going to actually buy at "bulk" prices? Stay home, don't waste your time and money. All those people in line, vast majority don't read Calguns, so they don't know about how futile it is to buy ammo at a gun show....
