    Skanky ammo.

I'd send him those pictures and tell him they're unacceptable.

If your that worried, just toss it in a tumbler with some corn cobb media for an hour or two........

It was probably worse before someone tumbled it in some old media.

I'm going to go with 'He's buying factory ammo, so he probably doesn't reload' for $500, Alex

Before tumbling it why not try a blast of compressed air to try and clean the loose dust from the primer pocket.

Wow. It looks like it got damp and corroded (but the box looks fine?)

Seems fishy. How do the projectiles look?

The boxes being new are irrelevant. He could have purchased new ammo and taken the boxes from that to put the old corroded ammo into.

I'd use a small screwdriver or pick and see if lightly scratching around the primer in the crevis area will get the gunk out... if that doesn't help along with some tumbling, then I'd ask for my money back and send back the ammo.

Nevermind I just checked Winchester's website that ammo is brass cased. I would just wipe then down and shoot'em.
