    Long Day

So I have not moved on to the progressive thingy yet.

My 16 year old son and I just spent 4 1/2 hours loading 1k round of 9 on my 25 year old Rock Chucker.

My kid can load anything he want to. He knows what is what and how to do it step by step.

He knows how to read all of my data manuals. He knows how to use all of my tools.

He shoots a hell of a lot better than I do.

I'm guessing he'll move out in 2 years to go to college that I mostly pay for.

During that 4 years, I can get that progressive and shoot a ****load of rounds while he is busy chasing ***** and reagain my position as master...

What do you all think of my plan?

If you can afford it I would get the progressive now. College is a boat load of money and may take all your spare change.

yeah, that's not bad, though if it's a 2 man operation, it's not that speedy.

Good thing about the single stage is that you can batch up a crap load of brass and forget about it for a day. Like on day one, just resize/decap a ton of brass. Then while watching TV, just prime the cases. These things can be done mindlessly. Then take a smaller batch and charge them and seat the bullets on them on another day. But if you can resize/deprime/reprime them at your leisure, it's not too bad.
