Trail Boss through a Lee auto disk

Anyone have any experience running Trail Boss through a Lee Auto Disk? I currently measure my TB with my Chargemaster but was thinking about using one of my auto disks to speed up the process. Curious if anyone has tried this and if it worked ok or not.

I ran some through my AD's a long time ago and it seemed to work alright. I was loading it in 44RM cases, so I wasn't on the edge of my chair with regard to the accuracy of the throws.

Bill... Thanks. I'm reloading 45 Colt for plinking at the range so I'm not super picky about the throw either. Just wanted to know if it ran through ok. Sounds like given your experience I'll give it a try.

I use it frequently in the AD, no problems. Meters well and consistently.

From my notes, the AD cavities usually delivered 89% to 91% of the listed load in the Lee manual. Sometimes, the weight I wanted wasn't achievable with one disc, so I would use two discs-like to get 6.1 grains, I would charge the cases first with the .61" dia disc, then switch to the .82" dia disc.

Then I bought the adjustable charge bar-great improvement. Again from my notes, the charge bar usually delivered 4% to 6% above the caluculated charge weight using the published VMD for trailboss. But once dialed in, it was accurate and consistent too. The good thing about the charge bar was that I could get the right load in one step....Well worth the cost of the upgrade.

I have had good luck measuring Trail Boss through my RCBS Little Dandy.

Jeff Quinn over at GunBlast.com did a review of Trail Boss through an Auto-Disk Powder Measure about 8 years ago. Here it is.

His experience was that it flowed and metered remarkably well, given Trail Boss's size. I'm guessing the round shape of the powder "donuts" is a major factor.
