I have been loading several different bullets for my 9mm JR carbine with slower powders to take advantage of the longer barrel.
What kind of 50yd groups should I be looking at with a blow back semi auto?
I got a couple thousand remington frangible 100grain flat points that I loaded with AA#7 and I think it shoots pretty well. I can keep all 5 in a 2"X2" box off sand bags.
Should my groups be smaller? I can shoot very small groups with my bolt actions and Rock river AR varmiter,
I just don't know if I should leave well enough alone or keep going.
It seems that with the 100 grain and AA#7 I get about 2"
115 grain plated with unique I haven't found a good load for the rifle.
115 plated with HS-6 about 2.5"
115 XTP hp and HS-6 2"
122 lead and AA#7 2"
All of these shoot better than factory 9mm
winchester
federal
remington
They all group about 3"
off the sand bags
It seems to me that with a 16" barrel and only 50yds I should be able to group a little tighter.
What do the reloading experts at calguns think?
