    30-06 AP Value

Hey guys. Remember that 30-06 Armor Piercing ammo that CMP was selling a while back? I still have an entire wodden crate of that, and I'm thinking about selling it. What do you think it would be worth? I've heard as much as $2 a round in this climate but wasn't sure if that's just hype...

    Thanks!

It is WORTH what you paid for it.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

      Umm, no.

If that were the case my grandparents would have been totally screwed when they sold their house.

And you would be totally screwed if you bought their 1995 Chrysler New Yorker.

Thank you for saving me the trouble...

...especially since CMP was charging $60, +$8.95 shipping for it. It sold out in what...? Two days? One day? I forget...

I think I could have doubled my money the day I bought it.

          Check ammo sales

I think that I saw someone was selling a spam can for $350 in the ammo sales section. I wish all of my investments did so well!

Now that is the truth. The great thing about guns and ammo is over time value just increases!

if its US made, $2 a round is a good start, if its the AYR headstamp then considerably less due to the clumping powder and corroded brass issues.

I have no idea what the headstamp is; both cans are still sealed. Any way to tell what they are without opening them?

There should be a lot number on the crate and the cans. The factory headstamp letters are usually part of the lot number.

The cans you just posted for sale are the Norweigian surplus from 1955.
