    Reloading Group Orange County

    Hi,
I'm a definite newbie here on Calguns...but I was wondering is their a group here particularly in Orange county that meet together to trade tips on reloading? Are there any experienced reloaders that would give us (or just me ) tips on how to reload .223 and 9mm. I was thinking about installing a Dillon xl650 to reload .223.
If not maybe we should consider starting a group because with prices of ammo going up it could probably save us money and more importantly we would shoot more...lol...

I know that at most IPSC or IDPA, most of the shooters there reload and are happy to share their knowledge with you.

If you become a member of the SSA group, they have a reloading room that they'll open to you.

I'd be into something like that. I tried reloading about 15 years ago and never really stuck with it. I read the books but didn't have any guidance or someone to check my work.

I'm in O.C., and I've reloaded for both calibers. I might be able to help you out.

Have you bought and read a good reloading manual yet?

If you're anywhere near Fowler's in Orange, drop on by and ask them when their next reloading seminar is and then attend it. They also have a few guys in there that reload and can give you tips. Ask for "John" next time you're there and ask him about reloading.

I forgot all about Fowler's...lots of reloading supplies.

I may have to stop by Fowlers this weekend to ask about that reloading class.

              Thanks for the tip.

                no problem.

Firearms sold at Fowler's may be expensive, but I've priced their accessories and reloading supplies against what I would pay with dealer discount at MidwayUSA, Graf, Midsouth Shooter Supply, etc. + shipping and they are competitive, albeit a couple dollars higher, but I gladly pay the slight premium to get the items the same day if I'm in a hurry.

                Good luck! Reloading is fun!
