Since my go to powder (h335) is so hard to come by these days I was wanting some other powder options that I could use for the .223 for plinking. I'm using the 55fmj's. I know all powder is hard to find but if I can find something that I can use in the meantime that would be great.

Some serious plinking would be 7gr of red dot. Sounds like a 22. don't go past 10gr. I started seeing pressure issues. Blc-2 works good to for work in the ar.Comment

AA2230 or 2520, WW748, all meter easily and are optimum choices for 55gr. Finding them will be another story

Thanks for these choices. By the way I'm using the hornady LNL so it needs to meter well.Comment

I really like Ramshot TAC, very economical, works great in .223, but its as hard to get as anything else.sigpicComment

IMR 4198, Varget, and benchmark are some of the powders I use. Personally, I use IMR4198, it meters super well, but I also liked benchmark alotOriginally posted by KestryllThis guy is a complete and total idiot.
