    Unwanted Reloads

I have over 350 rounds of 223 I reloaded when I had an AR. It loved the load, but my new bolt gun groups the size of a softball at 100 yards with them (doesn't like the 55gr bullet under any charge for some reason). I've already given a bunch to close friends. What can I legally do with the rest? Buy a puller and sell the components? Is it legal to sell given the caveat that it is only to be disassembled for components? I'm not looking to get rich here, just get rid of stuff I'm not going to use.

I would just fire them off in the bolt gun and use the brass again. I pulled over 200 bullets to cannibalize powder and it was tediously boring.

Phish- thanks for advice, which is what I was looking for.

Can of worms here...... I'm not looking to sell this at this time....

You can get a dillon kinetic puller and pull and reload. If I got them thats what I would do.

List your location...maybe someone local can loan you a collet style puller....works faster than a kinetic for jacketed bullets in my opinion.

Since your bolt gun doesn't like the 55gr you may just want to use them for plinking and then reuse the brass for whatever load your bolt gun likes. If you were going to reuse the 55gr I would say pull them and reload to your liking.
Maybe save them for sometime you go out with your buddies and shoot their ARs

I do not know where you are located. Just another newbie with a secret address I guess. But if you are near me you can use my collet puller and make fast work of taking them apart.......Or give them to me and I will take them apart to reuse the bullets.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I have a collet puller as well, if you're anywhere near San Diego.

I'm in San Jose. I think I'll just wait until I can find a collet puller.

Would it be legal to trade for reloads in another caliber he can use?

My opinion is that it shouldn't be an issue as long as he's not reloading commercially (for profit), but the law might say otherwise. Either way, I will not shoot anyone else's reloads unless I trust that person with my life.
