Modern 6.5x55 loads and max range?

I realized my varget is too fast a burn powder for the swede loads, and am mostly likely trying some Vihtavuori N150 next.

Anyone have favorite pet loads? I see a lot of RL 22.

Also, max range of a 55 swede? With G1 BC's of .585, .612, .618 in the 139/140gr class (an being able to load a 55 hot to 2700-2900fps) im guessing it's pretty close to 6.5-06 and almost 6.5x284 territory?

PM me I have lots of data for the 6.5X55 over my Chrono and accuracy testing in a Tikka T-3 Lite.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I like IMR4350 in my 96/38. I use Speer and Hornady data with 140 and 160 gr bullets.

My current favorite load is H4350 under a Nosler Custom Competition 140gr HPBT. I shoot that in my M41b sniper and M96s and have been very happy with the results.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.
