    Anyone order powder from midway?

I ordered 8lbs of tac that was in stock on January 5th. They said it would take 4 weeks. I did an online chat with a customer service rep and was told my item should ship 10 weeks after the order date and another 1 1/2 - 2 weeks after that for shipping. This is just getting ridiculous!

Yep, I ordered about the same time. No ETA.

Midway has the powder drop shipped from the manufacture. Midway gets sent an email saying they are due for an allotment, Midway sells it and then tells the manufacture where to send it.

Dont bother with Midway for powder. PVI, Wideners, Natchez, Grafs, get powder in all the time. My Natchez shipment took less than 2 weeks.

I think Natchez is fastest right now. I have orders in at Powder Valley and Grafs (Grafs wasn't even components) and they have been really backed up. I have placed and received two orders with Natchez while still waiting on PV and Grafs to ship the first one.

At this point if you need powder you buy it where you can. If it's in stock get it.

I just got an invoice yesterday for an order place on the 14th, from PV. Hopefully that means it's shipping soon.

I ordered primers from Bruno's Shooter Supply on February 2, they arrive today 2/22. I also ordered Accurate Powder's new LT-32 from Bruno's I expect it to ship with about a three week delay. LT-32 is the old Thunderbird that was discontinued. read about it here:

Midsouth Shooters Supply is now taking advance orders for the new Accurate LT-32 Powder, with initial deliveries expected in January 2013. Price for a 1-lb container is $25.12, while an 8-lb jug runs $190.50.

Also I had the same 10-12 week delay happen with Reloader 10x from Midway.

Even powder Valley listed H322 as in stock, only to call back and ask if it was okay to back order it, as it sold out before my order came in. Volatile market just now.

I think Powder Valley is starting to catch up on their backlogged orders. I got notice my order of late January shipped today. When I placed it, I think their forecast of when it would ship was like March 5th, so maybe a 2 week under promise over perform?

Right now their forecast is for shipments placed today will be processed on March 13 (3 weeks), my guess is it will be better than that. The bad news is they are still only taking orders for in stock items which are pretty few and far between.

I ordered TAC Jan 20th thinking I'd have it in a week or two like the midway page said. Hah! It's fine, I don't have any bullets, which are also backordered from midway, anyhow...I just wish I bought more than 2 jugs!!!

I recently bought an 8# keg of CFE 223 from Powder Valley. It arrived the other day after 20 days. They only had it a couple hours before it was out of stock. 8# will give me 2070 27gr loads.

in the mad hunt, I was looking for a powder to do double duty for 30-06 and 6.5x55. I've always used IMR4895 for the '06 (of course, as it's THE '06 powder) but for whatever reasons IMR4895 seems to be impossible to get. luckily I've got 2 lbs already. anyways, willing to try other powders as powders that work in possession are far better than the best powder you're out of. and hell, the way I shoot, I'd probably not be able to see a major difference

found accurate 4350 available at MW and load data appears to be good for both rounds. I "ordered" 2 lbs, along with some other things. got the email my order shipped.
Attention: Attention: Powder ships separately approximately 10 - 12 weeks after order is placed. $27.50 Haz Mat plus $9.99 Shipping fees apply.
honestly, the extra $$$ I can live with. but now it's a 3 month delay!! WTF??? think I might call and cancel that one.

tonight, I found H414 and H4831 at BPS. ordered 2 lbs each. waiting for ship date. both appear to do double duty. or maybe can just use one for each.

then found IMR 4350 at brunos. ordered 3 lbs. again a good double duty powder. also have 2lbs of IMR 4350 backordered from sinclair (though at the time their website said in stock).

leaves me thinking, if I can find IMR4895, order a bunch and sell off rest?? or use it?? either way, I guess I'd rather have several pounds of powder. all will work.

my guess is midway, and everyone else, is taking orders so they know what to order from the manufacturers. who knows. times are a crazy!!

Ordered TAC from Midway on 1/17.
Just spoke with them and they're saying order date + 12weeks. So maybe May 1st unless their distributor tells them different. And they've charged my card back in January. That's the news as of today.
