    Reloading Books

I am getting into reloading and plan on reloading small rifle and handgun (
    9, .40, and 45)

What book should I buy as far as loads, etc...

    Thanks

Lyman is a good how-to book. Lee 2nd Edition has the most loads. If you know what brand of bullet you will be shooting most (like say Hornaday or Sierra), then getting their book is also helpful.

    Have fun, good luck.

start with ABC's of reloading good read, has no recipes but gives you the "ABC's" of reloading, then get at least 3 books to compare load data. (you might find it at the library) I know most people hate ebay but I just got the Hornady 9th edition for $27 ish to my door.

I just buy one of those photocopied manuals for each caliber I reload.

          So far I have 9mm, .45 ACP, and .223 Rem. About $7/piece

            Lyman 49
I'm not aware of any other manual with cast bullet reloading data. This is important because jacketed bullets are getting harder to find. Lead bullets are still available and if things get really tight you can cast your own.

Lyman #49 is my first choice for newbies. It will answer most questions you will have.
I bought the ABC's of Reloading and think it was a waste of money especially for newbies.

I see you are in Stockton. I am near if you want any help or to ask questions. I have been loading since the early 1960's. I have 4 single stage presses and 2 Dillon 650's.

Yep same thing I found. I ended up with a few in the end. The Lee 2nd edition is really nice that has had a lot for me and since I shoot a lot of Hornady projectiles I picked up the 9th edition to cross refernce my other books.
