    308 bellm

So I've been going through all this brass and bullets that I inherited from my grandfather and I stumbled upon some 308 bellm brass and 7mm bellm brass. I noticed that the flange on the brass said 444 marlin but my grandfather had labeled a few bags as 308 bellm and a few others 7mm bellm. I know that the 308 bellm round can't be bought and must be made in order to shoot it.
My question is how do you "make" this round(308 bellm)? Does anyone have any good videos? Or would someone in the Bay Area be generous enough to show me how they like to reload and teach me some tricks? I'm new to all this and very eager but intimidated at the same time.

I found this on the Bellm website. According to the website, you neck the .444 Marlin in a .308 Winchester sizing die. Remember to lube up and you might have to anneal the brass first. That's it. I would call them with your questions.

Nice site by the way, lots of info for you. Do you have the TC barrels to go with the 7mm and .308? Hope you have a great time with your Grandfather's stuff.

    Good luck

Yea I have the 7 tcu barrel and the 308 bellm. (I'm pretty sure the 7tcu is different than the 7mm bellm) I will check that out though! I'm really eager to see how the contender shoots! It sounds like a blast! But I need to get my reloading bench all set up so I can start pumpn out rounds!

7mm TCU and 7mm Bellm are total different. See Below.

You neck down 444 brass in multiple steps.
Start with a 40 S&W die to start the neck
            Then drop to. 375 ruger
            Then to a 358 Winchester
            Then to an 8mm
            Then to 308
Then to 7mm for the smaller one.

It would be common for Mike Bellm to have rechambered a 7tcu factory barrel to 7bellm.
He usually puts xxxxx through the old chambering though and then marks the new chambering.
At least that's how he did mine...
