    Dillon shellplate ?

I've heard that you can use the same shellplate on a dillon 1050 for loading both .308 and 45 ACP. Can you do the same for loading both .223 and 9mm?

    Thanks,
    -Anthony

So the 9mm plate will work for .223 as well?

I am no expert (yet) but from the research I have done, people load .223 using the 9mm shellplate. The other way around some have had problems with priming. Don't quote me, I would call Dillon.

Oh ok. Awesome! Thanks. It'll save me some money on all the parts for the conversion. Haha

I feel you, that's why I have been researching. Its why I went .223 and bought a CC for .45, so now all I have to buy for .308 is a tool head casefeeder plate and other misc small stuff.

Yup! It'll workout perfect hopefully. I ordered my 1050 in 9mm cause i heard they ship faster than the ones setup for .223. So I just have to get all the other misc. stuff for .223. I'll eventually get the .45 ACP CK and stuff to reload .308, but won't make that move until all this crap blows over and I can get components.

I think my RCBS piggyback setup will feel very neglected after I receive my 1050. Lol

If you go to Brian Enos' website, he has a chart that lists which shell plates are interchangeable. You can even call him and ask

Brian Enos just returned my email. He said that i can use the same shellplate for 308 and 45acp, but i CAN'T use the same shellplate for. 223 and 9mm. He recommends just buying a shellplate for. 223 and 9mm. But idk. Haha i think i still want to try it anyways. I've read a lot of forums of people using the 9mm shellplate for both 9mm and. 223. And a few people on youtube do the same thing. I think i'll give it a shot. If it works, it will save me some money, if it does not work, i'll just have to buy another shellplate. Haha we shall see.

Why not!! Just be gentle the first go, don't want to break something and be down right out the gate.

.223 and 38 Supercomp and 9mm use the same shell plate. 38 Super won't fit. I know, because an occasional Super gets mixed in with my Supercomp

Will do! Can't wait for it to come in. i'll do a run of 9mm and then try a few. 223 with the 9mm shellplate.... i'll see how it does.
