Question for the ammo experts

I know there are dozens of sites out there. I'm trying to start a niche forum that is sorted by caliber, not gun type.

Meaning, you go on the site and the threads are sorted by .45 acp, 5.56, 9mm, etc.

So my question is, for the ammo experts out there, what would a logical way to sort this out be?

I know there are hundreds of caliber types and loads out there... But i'm trying to figure out a way to logically arrange the forums.

cant do handgun/rifle, there are lots of rifles that shoot handgun cals.

I suggest by bore. Smallbore, medium bore, large bore.

17- to quarterbore, quarter to 312-ish, 312 to 40 cal, and 40 up.

I don't know how you can segregate 45 acp from 458 lott. There's no way that makes sense to me without splitting SOME sort of shooting in half.
