Take a young kid or a new shooter to the range and let them shoot all that 22 ammo. Best use for it.

Why no? Please elaborate I've seen someone use the pulled bullets as a shotgun load

Why? why waste good ammo to make lousey shot shells --
The powder likely will not have proper burn rate --
How would you even guess at a proper charge with out knowing what the powder is -
bag of shot and pound of powder goes a long way --

Heres at least 3 reasons not to do it, and if you do it I don't even wan't to be on the same range as you when you attempt to test them.

Ok so powder is a no no how about just using the pulled bullets in a birdshot shell? (Of course replacing the original load)

And this is all just ideas in case normal storebought loads become unavailable for whatever reason

Thanks everyone for the input so far it's much appreciated

OK so even if you can get enough bullets pulled without injury to yourself (High probability of detonation when you try to pull rimfire bullets)
They are NOT round balls like buckshot. They are BULLETS meant to be shot through a rifled tube. If you blast them out of a shotshell they will fly everywhere. No pattern-- just everywhere. As a shooter you are responsible for every projectile you launch. The safety/liability issues you would face will be enormous. Sell that brick or teach a kid to shoot with those cartridges but do not pursue this dangerous idea.

Shotshell reloading is not like metallic reloading there is not as much experimenting. It is more bakeing and less cooking it you get the analogy.

Assuming you did do this what would you expect from the load, I don't think you would get much becide a poor preforming #4 buckshot load at a higher cost.
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

                        Rough Estimate:
                        36 grains of lead per .22 bullet 550 shots = 18,900 grains = 2.7 lbs = 43.2 oz.
                        1 shot 12 ga = 1 oz
That brick will make 43 shotshells.
I'll trade that brick to you for TWO boxes = 50 shotshells.
You'll be happy, I'll be happy

                          LOL

My buddy and I pulled 22lr bullets when we were about 12 so we could bash the empty cases like caps...

I think you might be over stated how dangerous it is...

do you know what that .22 powder is ? if you don't then no do not reload w/ that powder.
do you plan on melting the bullets and molding into buckshot? if not then don't do it.
and yeah, don't wast perfectly good .22 lr ammo. seen any on store shelves lately?
