    MEC 600 Jr. - Pre '82

So I have been reloading metallic for a few years now, but have never done shot-shells. Recently I came up (family friend) on a MEC 600 Jr. Pre-1982 model. This thing has seen better days, but is still in what appears to be functional condition, albeit caked in crud. Does anyone know how MEC is with warranty? I believe that it is missing some things (bright shiny spots where something used to be), but do not know enough to say one way or another. Do they offer factory refurbishment on these things? I would like to get it running again, either for me or to sell, not sure yet. Really, I want to make sure it has all of its parts and is in working condition. Any and all info would be appreciated since I have no knowledge of shot-shell reloading, I just shoot 'em.

I have reached out to MEC, but while I wait for a response I figured there may be someone here who could help also. Thanks!!!

There are a few guys locally that refurb MEC machines. You might try your local shotgun/clays range and ask around. Prolly find the same as here as they are popular machines and guys can make a few side bucks fixing them.

Thanks BigBronco, check back in an hour or two if you can. I will take some when I get home from work. I watched a video last night on the order of operation and it may be that the shiny spots are from use, not missing pieces. Having said that, I still know very little about it so I could be wrong.

The manual for the press is available from MEC.
