    Hornady Powder measure

Hi, I'm planning on purchasing my first reloading kit. I got my eye set on the Hornady Classic kit and was wondering if the powder measure/dispenser setup on the LNL AP is interchangeable with the Hornady single stage press just by adding the die bushing and components to make it run as if it was on a LNL AP? Stupid question I know but I can't find anything that would answer my question. Thank you

Yes they are the same. The Classic kit comes with one powder measure, and only one rotor. I believe the rotor that comes in the kit is for rifles, so you'd need to buy an additional one to load for pistols. And, if you're going to load for more than one caliber or bullet you might consider adding the micrometer option. The micrometer allows you to note the exact depth of seating in the rotor, and adjust to that depth very quickly when loading multiple calibers or bullets.

Or just buy extra inserts and label them like this.

Thank you again fellas! Also, EL NINO, those are the exact calibers i'll be reloading. Thinking about buying powder measure and components for each caliber so I won't have to worry about changing rotors and powder hoppers.

I wouldn't buy a powder measure for each caliber, that would be pretty expensive. You mine as well buy a progressive. But if you want to buy two powder measures and designate one for the rifle drum and one for pistol and the just change inserts, It makes it pretty quick. I have my LnL setup like that. But really to change out the rotor and adjust height is about 5 minutes. Either way you will be happy with it.

That's what I plan to do eventually is to get two progressive presses for pistol and rifle.

You don't buy two Hornady measures, you buy a powder charge assembly (as shown) for each of your "pet loads."

Well you just missed me selling my ammoplant. Let me know if you can't find one. I may have another one I can part with.
