Magazine follower problem

I hope this is the right place for this thread!

At the last gun show I went to, I got a couple of AK mags with Tapco followers, and this past visit home, I finally got to load them up. However, they will hold 11 rounds!! Eeek! I don't think this is kosher, so is there anything I can do that is permanent enough to satisfy the law, yet not be too difficult to accomplish easily?

I've heard that the Tapco followers were among the best you could get for smoothness, so I'm reluctant to change it out or damage it, but I don't want to go to jail either!

Technically, possessing and buying hi caps aren't illegal but still you should do something about it. I would suggest taking them down to parts for now, until you figure out what you want to do. You can keep 'em as mags, keep 'em as parts, turn them into 10rders, etc
