    45 acp defected or not

    I purchased a box of 45 acp federal premium hyda-shok jhp. When I opened the box I notice that each ammo had an indented ring around the shell. I just wanted to know if this is normal or is the ammo defected. I also attached a picture in case my description wasn't clear.

                                  The crimp is applied at the case mouth.
                                  They cannelure the case to make it even harder for the bullet to set back from recoil and feeding.
