Just use a drop measure and run it's setting up a bit at a time. Load one extra round of each charge test and don't shoot it. You can pull bullet later and weigh the actual charge then. This allows you to work right at bench even in wind. Lotsa' wind kinda helps to devalue the testing though 
Trickling is not that important for finding a barrel node. You can do that later at home once you have identified a charge value from at range testing. Trickling will help most to reduce SD in the long runs but not trickling will not invalidate node testing.
