Well because Bullseye & Win 231 is scarce on any shelves and on line, In my home town I found copious amounnts of Green Dot. I've never used before. Loaded some up for the weekend and it shoots pretty good. I find the data is somewhat close to Bulleye. Green Dot is a just hair more demanding on Grains.

I actually made the mistake when my attempt was to buy Clays when I was looking for Bullseye or 231. They naturally were out. So I saw International Clays, a ShotGun Powder. I could not find any data at all for this. Not even Handloads.com. Didnt want to take a chance on an unknown to a pistol powder. Took it back. With me was my printout and manual. Thats when I came across the Green Dot. Ohhhhhh Yea. I bought 8 lbs. I might go back and pick another 6.Last edited by Craigwood; 01-28-2013, 6:01 PM."One Useless Man is a Shame. Two are a Law firm. Yea I do. I always stay below or at the mid point. Even at the higher levels where it could still be safe, I dont want to wear out my guns."One Useless Man is a Shame. Two are a Law firm. Three or More are a Congress".

I have used green dot, red dot and blue dot over the years. I am still using up some Hi-Skor 700-X I got in the mid 1970's for shotgun reloading. Works well in pistol cartridges.
If you cannot find data let me know as I may have what you need. All the above work well with reg or mag primers.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

A good place for data is Handloads.com. Where do you get yours?"One Useless Man is a Shame. Two are a Law firm. Three or More are a Congress".

Reload books and powder company fliers many years ago. I still have the #1 Hornady manual and a Herters manual.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I've been using Green Dot since I started for exactly the same reason. It's just a skosh slower (depending on which burn rate chart you're looking at) and has a bit less than twice the bulk but charge data is usually very close.
It IS slower enough that powderpuff target loads can stovepipe a bit easier than Bullseye. My 4.2gr of GD under a 200gr LSWC worked great in my RIA 1911 until I put in a new recoil spring.
