    .500 S&W range ammo

Hey guys, I've got a 500 and need to get some ammunition that they'll allow inside an indoor range (assuming they allow the caliber in the first place). Anyone know of places in Orange County, or on the internet where I might find some that may be compliant. I've found plenty of hollow point stuff, and pure lead flat nose rounds, but the range I frequent requests FMJ in the ammunition I use.

    Thank you all in advance.

I roll my own using Berrys plated 350 grainers.

Only factory ammo ive seen are hollowpoints or hardcast. you may be forced to buy online. You could always choose a different range. If your currently shooting at the firing line in HB ( sounds like some of their rules) a short drive more will get you to field time range in stanton. Much better range and you can shoot hardcast and hollowpoints there. I dont think firingline will even let you shoot a 500

      Use your phone.

Call the range you "frequent", and ask them directly. Can I shoot my 500 in your range, if so, what ammo will you allow me to shoot out of said 500?

Got it, thanks. I was hoping there were a few more outlets for the ammo, but I guess it's still a pretty niche thing. I appreciate it guys!

Berry's 350gr. loads nicely for range plinking. It's still a hangun caliber, so most ranges allow them. Now, if it's a indoor range, you might want to think about the other people around you. I always alert others around me before I shoot mine. I also don't shoot more than 5 rounds at a time, then take a break so other people don't get irritated. I prefer Lil'Gun and H110 for the Berry's loads.
