    Help identifying rifle ammo? (headstamps?)

    Hello- I traded for a box of ammo that included some rifle ammo that I can't identify. Is there a source that will tell me what Caliber this ammo is?
    Example: RA on one side and H 18 on the other side.
    Most is longer than 7.62 x 39 and "bigger" than .308.
    There is some metallic (magnetic) cartridges that look almost copper but longer like a .308. The writing on the boxes seems to be Russian.
    I'll be at the OC gunshow this weekend if maybe someone at the Calguns booth can help- if I can find you in the crowd! ha
    Thanks for any help!!

    RA= Remington Arms
    H 18= Hoboken, New Jersey 1918

    30'06 140 gr. Lead. That is my guess.

    There are guides to headstamps, e.g. http://cartridgecollectors.org/?page=headstampcodes

          Great! Thanks guys! Didn't find the CG booth. What a mess! I doubt I'll return to the OC gun show for a long time.
