    Need advice on reloading systems

Hi all im looking to start reloading and could use some input. Im planning on reloading 223, 9mm and 45. Been looking at the Hornady lock and load classic and the Rock chucker supreme reloading kit . They cost about the same and look alike to me . Any advice on wich system is better for a beginner easy to use built better ect ect . Thanks

I just picked up the hornady LnL classic, I like it, I use it for .223, good luck trying to find dies and shell holders along with anything else for reloading right now I got enough to hold me over for a while, I also ordered stuff while it was still in stock and I'm still waiting to get it
You kick a donkey enough and it will bite you. Yep its on the net look it up.

This recommendation is a new one for me.

For a single stage I generally recommend RCBS Rockchucker. You likely can't go wrong with it (mine is over 40 years old and works like new), but I think there actually is a better option.

The Lee CLASSIC Breechlock may be that press. A buddy of mine just got one and it is stout like the Rockchucker, but also has the quick change bushing setup. This is not to be confused with the Breechlock Challenger press which is lighter and not as stout. I have a Challenger model and would not recommend it.

The Lee CLASSIC Breechlock also has the better primer disposal setup than the Rockchucker, which I highly prize. I hate primers all over the floor.

Midway has it on sale (and on Backorder) right now. Unfortuantely it doesn't come in a kit, but then you can buy an RCBS 505 scale, powder drop, etc. separately and get everything so they will last a lifetime.

      Just one new idea.

Sorry Bud. I just put one on order from Midway myself, just a few minutes ago.

My complaint on the Challenger is the light construction. I am hoping I get the best of all worlds with this new addition. Here's hoping.

If its a choice between the two id go with the rockchucker. This is coming from a guy that doesnt own an RCBS press and is a big fan of Lee and Hornady stuff.

I picked up a RCBS Rockchucker Supreme Masters Kit, the press is great, and all the included accessories like the scale, priming tool, and powder measure are excellent.

I was specifically looking for a full kit at the time, and the RCBS seems to be the ticket especially if you don’t already have all the needed extras.

Where does the Redding Big Boss fit in? That is on my Midway wish list along with the Lee Cast Breech Lock.

Most of the big heavy presses are the same. The Lee quick change thing, however is pretty cool.

OP, my advice is to get the Hornady. You are loading all high volume cartridges, don't waste time with single stage. I have a RC single stage and a Dillon 550b. Seriously for pistols, get a progressive or AT LEAST get the Lee Classic Turret.
