Just purchased a Lee Handpress reload kit to reload small quantities of a few different calibers. Besides the die sets, what is going to be the bare essentials for pushing out some rounds with this unit. Anyone out there have experience with this reloader?

If you use the Dipper that comes with the die set and the load data that goes with that dipper, you will only need some calipers, some way of trimming the brass (if loading bottle neck rifle cases), maybe a chamfer tool (again rifle). I am sure I am forgetting something, but that is the basics. If you want to do load development, a good basic balance beam scale like the RCBS 505.When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones." -
Add
a reloading manual of your choice -
a method of case lube --
a powder funnel
vernier calipers
rag and solvent to clean cases before loading and wipe down the finished cartridge.
None of these items need to be blue -- :-)Last edited by gunboat; 01-14-2013, 7:56 PM.Comment
