    Website Load Data worth it??

Seems I'm always trying to find the best friggin reload data source. Has anyone tried the we site Load Data? I was wondering if you thought it was the $30 per year cost..

Never heard of the site, but IMO it would be a waste of money unless you could find odd calibers that are impossible to find anywhere else.

Just because a load is the bee's knees for one guy doesn't really mean much. Every gun is unique and likes something different when you get into real precision shooting.

So personally I wouldn't pay to belong to that site. Reloading data is really just basic guidelines so newbies don't blow themselves up.

And if it's a site in which people put their own data into, then I really wouldn't join. Most of those sites that I've come across are full of errors and typos.

Loaddata.com is the definitive reloading website. For the cost of one reloading manual you have access to hundreds of thousands of loads. Good loads. These loads are known quantities.

These aren't loads submitted by some idiot who hasn't blown himself up yet. These are loads worked up by the people at Handloader and Rifle magazine, powder companies, and bullet companies. The load search is awesome and I must use it once a week. Have access to 8 lbs of powder and don't know what it's good for? Punch it in and see. Have an old gun lying around and don't know a load? Type in the caliber, chances are they' ve used that rifle and worked up safe loads for it. Need to know if that 8lbs of powder works well with your bullet weight in your AR? Type in the info.

If you only dabble in handloading a couple of calibers then it may not be for you. If you are like me and reload for everything then I highly recommend it. I have reloads for my M1A, which are different from my reloads for my Spanish mauser, which are both different from my 700 VTR.

It works for me and like I said. For the price of one manual you could print out hundreds.
