To add to the info for case weights from info I've gathered on the web:
        .357 Sig----145 per lb.
        .45 Gap----86/lb
        10MM------96/lb
        FN 5,7-----124/lb
        .25 acp----260/lb
        45 Colt-----60/lb
        30 M1------100/lb
        7.62x39----54/lb
        .50 AE------48/lb
        50 BMG----865 grains each or 8/lb
Just an average as some cases may weigh more or less.

These charts are handy. Does anyone know how many 223 cases fit in a 5 gallon Behr paint bucket? 9mm? 40 S&W? 45 ACP? Coffee cans are just too small

I think I recall a 5 gallon bucket of mixed brass weighing around 70 pounds, but I could be a bit off.

Thanks for the helpful info. I've been storing excess brass in 5 gallon paint buckets for deep storage. Anyone know the brass count or weight of a full 5 gallon bucket full of popular pistol and rifle brass cases? I don't have a large enough scale to weigh my buckets.
