Need to borrow a Chronograph

FYI, I own a Chrony. Traditionally, a chrony owner will NOT loan a chrony. They get shot way to often by inexperienced users. Happens all the time. The typical policy I have experienced and practiced in my 15 years of ownership is if I'm at the range with my chrony, I will have no problem shooting YOUR firearm through MY chrony to gather the results you need. I'm certainly not going to spend an hour working up load data for someone unless I have all kinds of free time.
If your need is greater than just a few shots to see where you're at, I'd suggest spending the money on a system. Shooting Chrony makes several affordable units for the casual reloader.
Just forwarding my experience. -

+2. Sounds like a newbie. I get asked that quite often by people at the range. Some are fine with me shooting their firearm thru my chrono and some get insulted. Either way I could care less. Mine is a $600 unit and I do not plan to have to replace any screens.
Bottom line is there are $100 units you can buy and then it is your problem if you shoot them or if a chrono owner is willing let them shoot your gun. Some owners will not even shoot your firearm thru their unit. Plus rarely does an owner get anything more than a thank you. I have even had people tell me my unit is wrong/bad as they KNOW their loads are faster than the numbers I get. So much for being helpfull or nice.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
