noob reloading question. 5.56 brass load data?

Just got into loading, cant have the hornady kit until Christmas (best Fiancee on earth) but I have been saving brass for a few months.

I have some Malaysian 5.56 brass, I know that the 5.56 case is a bit thicker so should I just use .223 load data? cant seem to find any 5.56 load data.

also a side question, where do you guys find bullets? basspro only had expensive polytipped bullets.

    thanks in advance

      Hornady single or progressive?
Just use 223 load data. As for bullet you can get them from grafs, midway, Widener, powder valley, etc

Just use 223 load data and work your way up from min load to something you and your rifle like.

Not many out there that publish 5.56 pressure loads. Ramshot publishes loads for 5.56 pressures for their TAC powder if I remember, but tread carefully when making loads that high.

If you want cheap plinker projectiles for fun (although they are pretty accurate out to 100yd for me) you CAN buy pulled bullets (de-.mil'ed).

              Pretty cheap in bulk...

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Pulled powder is the cheapest you can buy (if in bulk say 16-32lbs), and I have not read anything bad about it.

I need to stop giving away my secrets, as they always appear out since I have been referencing Hi-Tech Ammo's .223 here.

Would a Wylde chambered rifle from Rock River be considered rated for NATO 5.56 pressures? They say you can use 5.56 in their rifles but no mention of pressure ratings, and I've only ever shot .223 out of them. Not really interested loading to 5.56 loads but just curious.

And yes TAC does publish 5.56 loads

I would ask the barrel MFR (Rick River) about 5.56 NATO ammo in that chamber, as I am not sure of the Wylde specs. I have heard that you can, but it won't hurt to ask just in case the chamber won't support 5.56 NATO specs, as there is M193 ("old 5.56 NATO" [55 grain]?), also 5.56mm, but , "I believe" is not as hot as M855 (current 5.56 NATO [62 grain])...

It IS slim pickings with all the BAN talk Obama did, Google (Skynet) going to become self aware, and Zombie-alien-Spaghetti monsters arriving 12-21-2012...

Go to grafs and sons, they usually have good prices on 55gr and 62gr bullets.
