Anyone mount a press on the 45?

Built a bigger reloading bench today. Trying to decide how to mount my Hornady Lnl.

Should I stick with the edge of the bench like the first photo? The bikes get flipped and press moved down a bit to clear the door.

Or as my dad suggests and the blue tap shows, cut into the counter top and then mount it on the angle? My dads thinking is I wouldn't have to be in front of the bench and press so much. I'm still trying to picture it.

The bench is 43 high so a strong mount type would put it too hight I think.

With the press mounted in the first picture it looks like you are blocking the right cabinet door.

I would think you would move it to the left side of the bench? That way it clears the doors of the cabinet. Then you could move the vise to the other side. Or ship it to me... I need one at present.

I would not make the cut-out -- you lose valuable bench space --
Left to right location is determined by what feels best for you ---

My preference is to have my vise mounted to the right end and a better method of holding the bench down -- A good twist UP on the vise could be a bit of bother --

Looks like a strong mount would fit. I personally don't get the whole angle cut into the bench thing.

Surprised you guys say the vise on the right. Ill think about that. I have a smaller vise on the other side of the garage. I can't put it on the right because the bikes hang down.

As for mounting the top down. It's screwed into the studs with 3" fast taps every so often. Also, it's solid 2" butcher block and not moving.

Only thought in cutting out some of the counter is to make it easier to reach the upper cabinet stuff. The bench comes out 31" I think. Normal counters are 24.

It's tough to explain, ill try and draw something later. A strong mount might put the press to high for me. It would for sure require using a latter to dump brass in.

Instead of standing in front of the press normally mounted on the edge, if I cut about 4" into the counter top along the blue tape I showed, It would allow the bench to kind of wrap around and the press would be on my side not in front of me. I'm terrible at explaining this.
