    Hornaday M2 Tumbler

So for about the last two days, I have been running my Hornaday M2 Tumbler, almost non-stop.
    Polished up .40sw, .45acp, and .308... maybe 3,000 rounds?

The M2 ran like a champ, stayed quiet and cool, sitting on the garage floor.

It's back in the reloading cabinet with it's feet up waiting for the next job!

    I have the same tumbler

over 500 running hours and it is still going strong
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

I have one too and I absolutely love it. It cleans brass really well and it's extremely quiet. I'm using Lyman treated corn cob media with some Nu Finish car polish mixed in there. One question though, how long do you guys run it when it's filled to capacity?

Generic Cabella's Corn Cob Media with Cabella's case polisher.
          Great Value.
          15.99 on sale for both.

5 hours or so... After about 2 hours its noticeably different but like to go over 5 to get all the powder burns off the neck.

I was able to get the even larger, but discontinued Hornady M3 tumbler. It's very quiet and it works quite well. I have no idea why Hornady discontinued it. I had to purchase mine used on eBay, since it's not longer sold brand new.

I love mine, but I hate that it didn't come with an on/off switch. So I installed my own!

Synergy, how hard was it to install the on/off switch and how much did it cost to do the modification? I feel the same way about the M3, great tumbler, but sucks that it has no on/off switch.

I think I am going to retire mine for a rotary / stainless, but it has always worked well enough.

I love running my stainless media abut every once in a while I still use my hornady vibratory for something.
