Lead residue would be a concern. You have to do what works for you. There are portable stands for mounting presses you might want to look at. You could put it away when you weren't using the press.

You could always cover the kitchen table while you're reloading and then remove the cover when you're finished.

        "That's not pepper, that's H-110"!

Yes, just clean up THOROUGHLY afterwards, I don't see a problem. Of course, this is from a guy who sort of annoyed his downstairs neighbors when he used a lee loader in his first 1 br appartment.

The lead residue will be an issue. My lead levels are high and I have a dedicated reloading room and use jacketed bullets. Having your reloading area and your eating area in the same room just is not advisable.

+1 no way I would load in the Kitchen, my lead levels are also high, keep it away from food.

Load away.. people are too paranoid about being sick. Just clean up after you are done.

This assumes you will not be reloading and chopping/cooking at the table the same time, which you will feed the food to your sick grandmother or toddler.

I do not do change or shower after working outside, doing chores, lawncare, or reloading before I play with my toddler girls, but this is just me.

Just spray some Lysol or something when you're done.

                  I wouldn't do it.
Just make a portable table. For stability, you could mount some sort of hardware to the wall and then attach the table to the hardware.

reloading is also probably bad for global warming!

What non-sense -- A general wipe down will take care of any baddies --

This type of lead hysteria is why there are no longer wheel weights available.

You might consider mounting your press to a chunk of 2x12 and clamp it to the table. --

I don't see it as an issue if it works, especially if you work mostly with jacketed rounds. I've reloaded on my coffee table several times and eaten at it more often than I do my dining room table.

People are waaaay too scared of lead. I know it can cause some baaaaaaaaad things to happen, but just follow basic safety protocols (clean things and wash up afterwards).

My wife's traveling this weekend. I'm probably going to bring my portable press in during her absence.

Mentioned it to my boss and he said another bar we have had a bunch of extra tables they were replacing. I now have a little (2 person size) 2 inch solid oak table with a solid base. It will still be in my front room (living room/ attached to kitchen) but I won’t be eating off it.

                          Thanks everyone
