Best price on 243 bullets?

Looking for a place with good prices on 243 bullets. Also, anyone have any favorites that have given good accuracy?

I can't offer much advice on where to purchase for a good price, I lucked out on about 6 boxes of Sierra 100 grain BT at $6/box at the gun show last year, then I got some 87 grain Sierra BT last month for $12/box and I took five of those home. Most 243 is going for $20/box. There are some less expensive though. Midway has some Remington bullets for around $14/100. I'd give those a try if you're looking for a good deal.

As far as accuracy goes, my rifle is an older 700 varmint with a 1:9.5" twist. Most newer ones are slower. To stabilize anything over 100 grains you generally need a faster than 9" twist. Mine stabilizes 100 grains well, I get about 3/4" groups at 100 yards. The best accuracy I've had is with the Hornady 87 grain HPBT, which I get consistently under 1/2" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. I hope the Sierra 87 grain bullets are as good.

A lot of 243 rifles have a slower twist 1:12, so if that's the case with your rifle you may have better luck with lighter bullets.

The new remmy 700's with the 1 in 9-1/8 twist will stabilize the 105 amax if pushed fast enough. Thats a great one for accuracy. I get bullets at grafs, midway, powdervalley, and natchez.

For accuracy i havent been able to beat Berger 90gr moly on non-moly with my gun. Excellent bullets. I have a 1 in 10 twist so I push them pretty fast for proper stabilization.
