who cares about 223 brass life? If you are precision reloading you can afford to buy brass, and if you aren't, you are digging through the brass bucket to replace broken stuff.

It's not like you are shooting 460 weatherby! Full length size, be hard on your brass, throw away when the body or neck splits, and enjoy shooting! And no complaining about brass life if you shoot something common!

Yeah, that's what people told me when I said I reload for .45 Colt, too. They obviously don't know what .45 Colt brass costs, despite that it's common.

I'm a believer in not being so hard on your brass. For an AR, you definitely want to full-length resize. There is no need to run full-house loads as long as your gun cycles fine with the load. Matter of fact, a lot of people find that medium-ish loads tend to be more precise on average. Depends on your gun.

There's a fellow I know with an AR-10 that gets 1/2 MOA. His loads are medium. He does something similar with his AR-15 as well.

thanks everyone for their points of views. I appreciate them all. I was never really worried about brass life... I think I understood before I asked that I needed to full length size but wasnt sure if it was something special in the collet neck die.

          anyways.. thanks again.
