    Dillon 650 Crimp Removal

Is there a way to do this using the press or do I need to buy a seperate piece to do this?

Well, since you asked, you could use a primer pocket swaging die and use the press as a single stage press to just swage the primer pockets. However, that would be more trouble and expense than it's worth. The real answer would be to buy a Dillion swagger or remove the crimps with a reamer.

The only way I know to do it o the press requires using one of the stations.

I use my chamfer/deburr took to ream it out the crimp. If you need to do a lot, I highly recommend the Dillon Super Swage Tool.

In case you didn't know, the 1050 can decrimp on the press. So if it's a big deal look into a 1050.

Yeah, I just purchased a 650 a month ago and am still getting it broken in so I'm not going to upgrade to the 1050 for a while.

I have a Super Swager and it has it's problems. You have to adjust it for different lots of brass with different case head thicknesses. This is a real PITA when trying to decrimp a 5 gal bucket of mixed headstamped brass. For that, I prefer chucking a primer pocket reamer into a drill press and going to town.

                      I'll just stick to purchasing non-crimped brass until I get a 650.
