Its very possible I'm wrong, but the head stamp looks to me to be of Isreali or possibly Russin manufacture.

Probably Izzy, possibly Russian...I know that's not much help.

I say probably Izzy as the letters look like taz & ayin (taz looks kind of like the greek Pi). Mainly because I'm not aware of Russa fielding a .308 weapon.

Serb (Yugo), Russian, Greek, or Israeli?

Its not NATO ammo, no crosshair symbol. Here is a great headstamp reference page http://cartridgecollectors.org/headstampcodes.htm

Use one of the inertia hammers to knock the bullet out and weigh it on a scale to figure out its grain-age.

                Thanks for the Input,

I was going to post it in the For Sale Section.
But I want to know exactly what I'm selling before doing so

guess you want more info, eh?
the 2 characters are hebrew for "TZ".
made by the Tel Aviv arsenal. "T'aas T'zvaot" roughly translates to "for military use" by IMI.

post 80's(and current) TZ's use purple primer sealant. Good stuff.

Yup, good stuff. I usually see it in 60 links.

Then the links and brass are all over the ground.

                    BTW, it's boxer primed.
