Any one had experience loading this one?

I was think adding this to my collection:

Steyr 95-34 8x56R Carbine Bolt Action Rifle

However ammo is hard to find and the stuff that's out there is expensive.

Sooooo has anyone had experience loading this cartridge?

Go to Grafs web site. They have the right bullets. Brass I think, but Hornady loads it so you can get brass that way. Lee makes dies. Data is kind of hard to find but if you look around on the web some is there.
It's about like loading any other rifle round (no quirks) That I know of anyway.

I have one but never reloaded for it. Paid $59 bucks for it at Big 5 years ago. It didn't even come with a clip. I had to order one online. The clip came with Nazi markings on it. Pretty cool piece of history.

The rifle is built like a tank and actually kicks worse than a Mosin Nagant.

The only load data I have ever seen was the little data sheets that Lee gives out with their die sets. I have looked in lots of manuals with no luck.

The round is huge. I believe the ones I bought were Hornady and cost a lot. They came in very nice brass. Look like it would reload just fine.

Today the poor rifle doesn't see much daylight. It's in the back of a safe I dedicated to surplus rifles.

When I got my first M95 it came with reloading dies, .329 sizing die, about 50 pieces of brass and about 500 or 600 cast boolits. I am down to a couple hundred left, I picked up a .329 Lee mold and plan to cast in the not to distant future.

About a year ago I found on gunbroker these 208 grain .330 boat tail FMJ Prvi Partizan bullets, the guy had 6 bags at $15 each so I got them all and have not seen any sence. They shoot real well.

You can fire form 7.62x54r brass case ammo in your M95, it will come out a little short though.

Here are a couple links I found while looking for loads
Having problems figuring out a good recipe for firing in my Steyr M95. Either they use powders I don't have, or don't have the bullet weight I use (205 gr.) Anybody ever use 4350 or H4895?

Greetings, After months of visiting the site on a regular basis, I've finally started to go shooting regularly enough to post some relevant info and questions. During this latest day at the range I finally got to shoot my M95 Rifle and Carbine with my first attempts at bullet casting, with...

That last link I use for cast

I have some more stuff some where, I will look for it and post it up later when I find it.

Another board with a thread that has lots of data

The data with Lee dies gave me a lot of blowback with two M95s, I think it was really watered down. I picked up some IMR 4895, 3031 and Varget. Sure would like some recipies for any powder. Anyone know of any?
