Ammo Depot in Fairfield?

I was coming home from Sacramento this afternoon and noticed a sign for Ammo Depot in Fairfield, Travis Blvd and Hwy 80, next to the Harbor Freight. Does anyone know anything about the store?

They have a store up North near Roseville and just opened the Fairfield store. They don't sell firearms but ammo as well as other accessories. That have not been open long at the Fairfield store. They just did a grand opening there.

What are their prices like?

The thing that surprised me is most of their pricing is by the box. They have boxes of ammo on display. I expected cases of ammo and case pricing. When talking to them they have lots of cases in the back and the case price is better than the posted per box price. I didn't really compare prices. Their goal is to compete with Internet sales of ammo.

I stopped by there on Saturday. They do not have reloading supplies right now, but they will be carrying them soon. They told me they are waiting on additional licenses before they are allowed to stock primers/powder. The staff were extremely friendly and they are very pro military.

You can order off their website and they will drop ship to a store location for free.... At least they do out here in FL.....

So it is a big chain? I saw it too and was curious (hit the Vacaville and Dixon Walmarts for Federal Value packs on a Sac-Eastbay drive)

Their case prices are very competitive. Prior to heading out to Front Sight, I checked around to find the best deals on a case of 9mm and .40 S&W Blazer or Tula (if I can't reload it, why should they, but I digress...). I stopped into the Rancho Ammo Depot to check the local guys before making the purchase, and they were within $10 total price of the cheapest online deal, but with brass cased ammo. I came home from FS with about 250-300 rounds of each caliber, so it was all around better to deal with Ammo Depot than to go online for me.

I try to stay local when I can, and these guys have definitely proven they're a good deal.
