A 230gr RN at 1.25" should work in anything. I BELIEVE WWB is 1.25-1.26. There will be some slight variances in different RN bullet profiles but should not really cause a problem in .45ACP.

Most of the feed problems I've encountered involved the case mouth not being crimped down enough or lead shaving on cast bullets.

If you're using a cast lead RN make sure you are seating all the way up to the end of the bearing surface if there is a "step" there.

      I agree.

I usually use 1.260-1.265" for 230gr RN bullets.

The crimp is pretty important in .45 ACP. Many will tell you to just straighten the belling, but with this cartridge in a 1911 pattern gun, you will find crimping so the case mouth is in the .469"-.471" range will yield more reliable feed.

One final thing to check is to make sure the sizing die is screwed down to within a paper's width of the shellholder/shellplate when the ram is fully up. This will assure your cases are getting sized sufficiently in the waist, usually not the problem, just in case, so to speak.

Good to have this info, I was loading at max OAL of 1.270 and had a few problems, and now have reduced to 1.261 and will try these and if i still have problems i'l reduce further.

I have a box of Federal. They are mostly in the 1.261-1.263 range, but I did find two that are 1.257. I also have a bag that are mostly Winchester headstamp, but the may be Georgia Arms reloads. They are all over the place, 1.255-1.275
