For USPSA I load all of my pistol rounds on a Dillon 650 during the winter when I would normal practice. Then the other 9 months a year I am pretty well set. I have developed all of my loads so that even if something is slightly off they are safe and still function. Goal for me was staying within power factor so I try and load about 10 PF higher so I am covered for the changes in temperature. I do about 25,000 rounds a year so loading over the winter is a big task but it lets me focus the other 8 – 9 months a year.

What do you mean by OAL? I don't plan on using max loads. At least not til later.

As others have stated OAL= Over All Length. The OAL is determined by case length and bullet seating depth. As the bullet is seated deeper in the case the case pressure increases. Same amount of powder smaller area bigger boom. Check OAL for the specific bullet you plan to use. Not all 124gr bullets are the same shape so some may require a different seating depth. Usually only an issue with rifle bullets but I have run across some 9mm bullets different than the norm.

I started reloading to save money some 30 years ago and have had the RCBS for almost as long. Like some have said, I now do this because I just like to assemble things and find it rather therapeutic. Nobody interrupts, and I have quality quiet time.

Since I shoot several different calibers, I save loading 9mm, 45acp and .223 (all magazine fed) for the progressive Hornandy LNL, but for my .38/357 and 7mmTCU and .44magnum, I will still use the RCBS and the Chragemaster.

Generally, I spend several weeknights before range day on the weekend to load up. I don't care about rounds produced/hour since the most I want to shoot is about 200 rounds of anything on any given day. But recently, I was finding I want to shoot my semi-auto pistols quite a bit more so that's why the LNL is at the bench... future planning.
