    Hi All,

    A question.

I remember a post on another site where a guy noted a great deal of difference between a more recent lot of 2400 and an much older lot, as I recall it, I think it was a great deal of time difference, like Hercules 2400 versus the latest 2400 production, but I can't find the thread to confirm the particulars.

The difference in velocities for his 10mm were significant, older being higher.
When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."

I've read similar posts. Apparently this is one of the reasons the max load data is getting pushed down by the powder companies. They're allowing more to slip through than they used to, and the lots are smaller, so we're going to see more variances. Some will burn faster, some slower. Sounds like your second lot is burning a little slower.

        Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve also sent an email to Alliant to see what they say. I’ll pass along anything I find out.

If the lots are getting more variable, that’s a bummer, since the load with the older powder lot was performing very well.
