I'm having trouble finding a suitable load using my powder. Unique and Bullseye. My manuals dont have either powder. From what I was able to find using google i'm looking at an 85gr LRN over 1.1grs of Bullseye. Sound about right? The firearm is a 128 year old S&W break top so I'm trying to keep the loads light.

Lyman manual says
85gr (#2 alloy) .984 OAL
Bullseye 1.5gr (660fps)- 1.9gr (795)
Unique 1.8 (650fps) - 2.5 (860fps)It's ok to be jealous. We understand your animosity. We live the life you wish you had. And of over 4000 universities and over 1700 division 1 schools, only one is simply known as "The U" -
i'll try out the 1.1gr's and see how they fly.. then move up if necessary. Thanks for that data! just what i needed.Comment

load the black stuff for that gunLeft, not "liberal", not what gets called "left" in American politics, Actually Left, like the government shouldn't be set up to favor certain groups, radically and fanatically left, like the ideas in the American Constitution (except that crap about 3/5ths of a person).Comment

its in great condition and can handle light to mid range smokeless loads. I asked on the S&W forum and they said 1.0grs Bullseye is a great load for these guns.Comment

Correct, I'm using 85 grain LRN's. I really want to load a few blackpowder rounds to test them out but I'm totally not comfortable taking the sideplate off and cleaning the internals...Comment
