I have a Marlin 1894s in .41 Magnum. I need a source on plated 215 gr FP bullets. I have tried to get Fowlers and Stockade to order them to no avail. Where can I buy Barry's or new Western Nevada(If they are good) in So Cal so I can shoot my Marlin. I won't pay for XTP's to plink. I use Bear Creek to plink with my OM Blackhawk. Berry's want $81 + $36 shipping for 1,000. HELP!

Been looking around but that is about as cheap as they come unless someone has a sale.
If these are just plinking rounds why not load up on some quality lead bullets. I push Penn's bullets to mag speeds with no leading. Might want to check him out.

I looked and the only interesting thing I found was Hard Cast Bullets at www.wideners.com. I have tried Bear Creek bullets in .44mag midrange loads that were very clean. They don't have any lube on them and appear to use a dry film coating. I never liked "Plated" bullets, since they always seemed to trade leading for copper fouling which I find harder to remove.Comment
