As far as firearms go, I'm a newb for sure but hope to grow as much as I can with the sport. That said, I'm looking to get into the art of reloading and hope someone out there is willing to trade their experience at the reloading bench for some time at a private range. Ultimately, I hope to advance to a dillon or hornady multi-stage press. But for starters, I'm looking to get a solid foundation with a single stage. If you live in the LA basin and want to trade some bench time for some range time, please let me know.

You're in the right place here. Ask questions. I learned a lot from the guys here. Also lots of good info on you tube.
Be safe.

I have two free books everyone is using. PM the last person who has the book. They will send them to you within two weeks. This should get you started in the right direction.

Do you have your press yet? Do you have everything else you need to get started? (Brass, primers, powder, bullets, calipers, scale, ect.)
Are you talking about rifle or pistol ammo? Pistol is much easier.
What part of LA are you in, and what range do you have access to?
I'm in OC and might be able to help.------------------------------------------------Comment

If you want to make the drive, I'm out past Santa Clarita. I load many cartridges from .25acp to 50BMG and .410 and 12g too. I have a variety of single stage and progressive presses. If you want to come out, load a few rounds, shoot them over a crony and see how consistant they are, just shoot me a PM. Oh, I don't want to bother my neighbors so, I do not shoot 50s in my yard. Just about anything smaller than a cartridge based on the 50BMG cartridge is OK to shoot a few rounds. Obviously, I can help you and do not need (but, am curious) to take you up on your private range offer.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor
