It's a DIY. But I appreciate you thinking it looks good enough to be bought.

It's cool but what's the point? I just count by the primer tray.

Short answer - because I could.
Long answer - I wanted to see how many I loaded in a given session and since the machine always has a some primers in it or they get dropped or something else happens the primer trays were unreliable. With this counter only completed rounds that go down the slide are counted.

Looks cool, but not necessary IMO. Like Joe said, count the primers used or better yet, use ammo boxes

              Looks legit though.

It looks really nice, I could see it being useful if you are running a 1050 or something that is fully automated.

but I know before I sit down how many rounds I am about to run through

                  If I want 500 rounds I get 500 brass, 500 primers...
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

OP! Can you share with us some more technical details on what all went into building this? Simply curious!

That's the first one I've seen that makes sense. Some count by stroke and if you load on a 650.............well, you just know better. I use ammo boxes.

Wait that isn't made my dillon? You had me fooled....great craftsmanship, I'd like to know how you did it and does it count when a completed round hits the tray?

Not sure what technical stuff your looking for but I'll do my best. It's a up/down counter kit I bought off the internet and infrared beam and receiver assy i also bought off the Internet. Alluminum circuit board enclosure that came from fry's. A bit of plexyglass, a 12v power supply, some steel brackets and lot and lots of time. The magic was in connecting the optical sensor to the counter which as much as I would like to I can't take credit for (only because he reads these forums) my friend Aaron did that part for me. But I can take credit for fit and finish and concept.
I added some photos of various stages. The counter came a kit that needed to be assembled. Also I moved the wire connectors from the top to the bottom for a cleaner look.

Thanks for the compliment. It counts as each round breaks the beam at the bottom of the slide
